As AI becomes more prevalent in healthcare, maintaining ethical standards and patient safety is paramount. Here's how we approach responsible AI at Practice Buddy.

Transparency first

Patients should always know they're interacting with an AI. Nora identifies herself as an AI assistant and makes it clear she's not a replacement for human therapists. This transparency builds trust and sets appropriate expectations.

Clinical oversight

Every interaction Nora has is grounded in a request from the therapist or the patient. It's still up to the therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure our AI provides accurate, safe guidance. Nora never provides medical advice on her own. She supports adherence to the treatment plan set by qualified professionals.

Data privacy

All patient data is encrypted, stored within the EU, and handled in compliance with GDPR. We only collect information necessary for providing the service, and patients have full control over their data.

Continuous improvement

We regularly review and update our AI systems based on feedback from patients, therapists, and the latest research in AI ethics. Our commitment to responsible AI is ongoing, not a one-time achievement.
